Satellite TV and Cable TV are what most people watch when at home. The choice between the two has long been difficult to determine which is better. There are people who swear by Satellite and others who would not stray from Cable TV. The choice is especially hard now when we have Digital Cable TV thrown into the mix.
Most individuals do not consider the plight of TV on computer. With the many options today it is now more common to watch our favorite shows online. Most broadcast stations have their television shows downloaded to the internet in case an person is not home to catch the popular show. Thus TV on computer is becoming an ever-greater idea.
There are still many reasons for watching a TV show on the television with Cable TV or Satellite TV. Some of these are the picture quality of the television versus the computer screen, the use of cables to bring the picture to your TV screen, and the availability of shows.
Cable TV and Satellite TV bring the highest quality into a home. Not only because of the cables used to bring the information to our televisions, but the televisions themselves are important to the quality. With the plasma and LCD screens available we see a better picture quality on the Cable TV or Satellite TV than we see on a computer screen.
Size is also important. We know that watching TV on computer is for at most two people sitting closely and one most usually straining to see the picture with any clarity. If a person is watching the show by himself or herself then quality can be great. The computer screen was meant for data so TV on computer is not always as clear as the digital input of Satellite TV or Cable TV.
The type of cables or in the instance of Satellite the use of digital will bring about better quality than the downloaded versions of TV on computer. HDTV is certainly lacking when you watch a TV on the computer. Satellite TV or Cable TV will bring the greatest quality to anyone’s television watching. Movies are a bit different than regular shows. A DVD player in the computer can bring about better quality than TV on computer, but the screen quality will still be lacking since the LCD screen of a computer was brought about to read data rather than watch TV.
Lastly the availability of shows with TV on computer is still lacking. Unless you can find a reputable site to download your favorite shows you probably will not find all shows on the broadcasters website. They often download shows that are most popular like Grey’s Anatomy, but Men in Trees is not available. Depending upon your Cable TV or Satellite TV shows you may not find the equal with TV on computer. So while TV on computer is handy for the individual it may not be the best way to watch your favorite shows for now.
